Empowering Aspiring Entrepreneurs Through Culinary Exposure

Dorsett Kuala Lumpur x Pepper Labs CSR Initiative

On 25 August 2025, Dorsett Kuala Lumpur partnered with Pepperlabs, a Malaysian social enterprise dedicated to empowering citizens from underserved communities.

As part of Pepper Labs’ Dapur Digital Initiative, which supports B40 micro-entrepreneurs in developing their culinary businesses, we hosted 20 aspiring entrepreneurs for a hands-on kitchen exposure session.

The session began with a warm welcome by Executive Chef Azmi, who shared valuable insights on kitchen workflow, hygiene practices, and ingredient management. Participants then toured the hotel’s show kitchen and attended a live cooking demo, followed by a tasting and tea break.

This initiative provided participants with a closer look at professional kitchen operations while inspiring them to elevate their home-based businesses. Dorsett Kuala Lumpur remains committed to supporting community development and creating opportunities that encourage growth and learning.
